of B grade Ebony! (200-300) Guitar Size 5 Pack
2 5/8" - 2 15/16" x 5/16" x 20" B Grade ebony fretboards. Some may be as
wide as 3". Many of these are quartersawn. These have been
downgraded to B for various reasons, including knots, mineral specs and
color.

2" - 3" x 3/8" x 14" - 21" blanks that have a
knot or defect making them more suited for mandolin, ukulele or
mandola blanks.

Most ebony is not jet
black in appearance these days. I actually prefer wood that looks like
wood but if you have a customer that wants a jet black look, it is
easy to achieve with this dye. Being a high quality oil-base stain it
will penetrate into the wood. that give colored ebony fingerboards and
bridges a uniform black appearance. You can make it look just like
plastic!! (please excuse my lame sarcasm) Easy to apply. Use a
pair of latex gloves to keep from staining your hands! Used by many
large manufacturers. $6.95 per bottle. |

| Notes on Grading
A Grade basically our master grade with
the exception of our Marilyn Monroe Boards. Nice dark rich color close
grained.
B Grade good commercial
grade. wider grain but still good color may have one pin knot or pinhole
to run a slot through.
C Grade
Rough or un-prepped stock will be
wide grain or uninteresting color, prepped boards may be of good
color and close grain but nay have knots or multiple pin worm holes, wide
grain or uninteresting color or a combination of all these. |

Mandolin Ukulele Rosewood Blanks
Mixed grade most are 2 1/2" x 14" most thickness sanded to
1/4"

is a good opportunity to recycle exotic hardwood! These uke blanks
were made up from bass fingerboard blanks that were sent back
for various reasons. I think some were rejected because they looked
too much like Brazilian Rosewood and they couldn't make them all
look like that!
